- Cabot Music
has for the last twenty years been supplying publishers
in the UK and USA with musical arrangements,
transcriptions and artwork for music books, sheet music
and journals. We also sell our own musical arrangements
and transcriptions of popular music. These include 'audition
arrangements', consisting of lead vocal plus piano /
guitar accompaniment, piano solos, and band charts /
transcriptions, consisting of individual instrumental
parts.
- We
specialise in producing note-for-note transcriptions of
pop, rock and jazz music. Of particular interest is the
accurate notation of recorded piano accompaniments to
vocal performances, rather than the melody-in-the-right-hand
'piano reduction' arrangements most often seen in music
books. We produce both full 'rock score'-type band charts
in addition to musical arrangements more suited to a
standardised small group. A library of popular big band
arrangements is also now available.
- An exciting
new venture for us is the production of karaoke backing
tracks in the form of MP3 audio and MP4 video files
recorded in our custom-built studio (pictured above). We
are combining these with PDF lead sheets for customers
who prefer to sing from "the dots".
